Colored pencil takes me back to the fun of coloring when I was a kid. The expression of an adult with this medium is very interesting to me. I combine the views of seeing as both as a child and as an adult with the skill of a professional to create something unique.

Charcoal and conte offer the opportunity to make marks in a wide variety of way. That and the ability to use the background as shadow (black paper) or light (white paper) are simply fun ways of drawing. Notice how the green paper in the drawing of a frog becomes part of the frog.
